Certifications and Associations

Packaging is a key component of food preservation, food protection from contaminants, and the main method of communication to retail consumers regarding ingredients and potential allergens present in their food purchases. Tempo Plastics ensures all relevant and required certifications are adhered to and maintained regularly. Our Integrated Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality Management Systems provide the standards and controls that enable Tempo Plastics to maintain our high standards of producing quality packaging and meet your product requirements.

Tempo Plastics Limited has been certified since 1996 to a Quality Management System, and currently we are ISO 9001: 2008. ISO has been the cornerstone of all aspects of our company. It also formatted the framework for us to adopt Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) identified through the HACCP food safety program PACsecure in 2010.

Building on this already solid foundation led us to enhance our food safety program to achieve certification in 2013 to IFS PACsecure which is recognized as a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The IFS PACsecure Standard, developed in conjunction with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and a broad spectrum of industry representatives, specifically applies to all forms of primary and secondary packaging materials. Our diverse customer base and ever expanding marketplace involves on-site audits for various quality systems. We have participated in Ethical and Food Safety audits for large multi-national corporations always with great success and recognition.

Tempo Plastics is IFS PACsecure, a GFSI-recognized Standard for the assessment of packaging material suppliers and converters. It is a result of the cooperation between IFS and PAC–Packaging Consortium and refers to the well-established PACsecure Standard, which was developed with the support of leading food and packaging material companies in North America.

Tempo Plastics Limited is certified operating as a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 for the following scope of registration: Manufacturing cost-competitive quality monolayer and multilayer flexible bags, pouches and rollstock and providing technical support.
